This was my least favorite of the books she sent - it is definitely geared towards an older child - lots of text on each page, much too much for a 2 yo attention span. I liked that it talked about becoming a big sister vs. already being one, but all in all, it is not mine or my daughter's favorite.Very goodMy daughter is two and we have been going through this book quite a bit. She thinks it is really interesting. I'm pretty shocked that people think the drawing is too explicit. But then again, my daughter was already well aware that a baby lives in its mother's uterus and comes out through the *** so I suppose if you are uncomfortable with your child having factual information it could be over the top. Personally I'm all for my child knowing how the process works.great book for preparing a young big sisterMy daughter loves this book. She has already started to talk about the things she is going to do when she is a big sister with pride, and many of them are things she learned from the book. It's great that there is a big sister and big brother version of this book, I just wish there was also a version with two mommies have a second baby or two daddies.I'm going to be a big sisterMy 5 year old loves to have this book read to her. We are expecting a baby boy in September and it has helped her understand so much. She is very much looking forward to being a big sister.Great discussion materialI bought this for my 2 year old as we prepare for a new baby. She was enthralled with everything from the things Amanda likes to do, to the scene where Amanda and her mom are riding in a car to the grocery store, to the way Amanda would interact with the baby after it was born. My daughter made me read the pages about the parents going to the hospital overnight, and the grandmother coming to care for Amanda, 6 times in a row the very first time we read the book. That really helped her process what will happen for us, too. She really identified with the story, and it launched so many useful conversations between us (from mom's changing body to safe and unsafe toys to parents being away during the birth to washing hands to playing with the new baby). We're so glad we got this book.Product DescriptionAmanda's mommy is pregnant and Amanda is going to be a big sister.
