Whew this one was pretty gross and cheaply made
I admit I love a weird bizarre flick more than the average horror fan. Parts of this movie where morbidly amusing and twisted. But overall, this movie had little to any plot and was very cheaply made. Don't waste your money. It needs 20 more minutes
1) the sound is bad, you barely hear her at times
ok - to those who didn't see the movie I will now be vague -
2) It needs a beginning.. to me there HAS to be some back-story about the bus and the guys in the car.. how did she know WHO to take? Just a 15 minute into or even a montage would have done it.
3)It needs 5 more minutes at the end.. it left me hanging I was like
"ok.. now what will she do.. hey it's the credits?"
But the movie itself is ok - I liked it. It wasn't as gory or sick as I thought it would be be, but she is cool as a "Sick" girl (and the end scene was pretty sick!)
Again I just wish they tied up the story better and the sound is bad, that's why I only give it 2 stars.
Oh.. and the mini-documentary is pretty cool! I actually liked her film about her "death-by" pictures more interesting than the movie itself :)
JimOutplayed, Boring, Predictable
bad points:
-predictable plotline and ending
-really and I mean really bad overacting, especially the kids in the movie... the lead was a bit better, totally unsympathetic character and a psychopath... but still overacting.
-looks like it was made in the 70s
-at many points the plotline make no sense, or makes sense as far a linear storyline, but no real point to some of the things they tossed in there to try and make a point... just seemed stupid.
good points:
-creative stuff involving nuns is always great in my book and the highlight of the movie... within the first 3 minutes.
-one of the torture scenes with the kid rocked, kids are resilient!
-I enjoyed the periods of silence, they should be a bad point, but by the end they were driving me more crazy
-this is the kind of movie where I want to brutally slaughter the character... for being a true psychopath... like psychologically... so good job on that!
I downloaded a torrent, I would recommend doing that before buying the movie... it really is crap. Even stuck it on my wishlist due to the reviews on here, but off it goes now! You're better off buying Blood Dolls, Bloodsucking Freaks, one of the Ilsa movies, or anything by Dario Argento than going with this outplayed, uncreative, and relatively unentertaining film - if you enjoy the kind of movie this claims to be. I would definitely try to find at least a clip of the first 3 or 4 minutes though... that made wasting my time watching it almost worth it... though it was a set up for disappointment.
That's my reason for 2 stars versus one.
One of the worst ever
This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I've watched a lot of "B" horror movies - this is D- at best. The story had potential but the sound and cinematography were awful. You can barely understand most of the dialog. The story is disjointed - just what was the connection of the school bus slaughter? Andy Signore was hilarious in the outtake - they should have left it in. If you want to watch a really good sick movie watch Any Signore's "The Janitor." Now that's sick AND funny with a great story line. One of My Favorite Christmas Movies
Most Christmas movies are too trite, corny, and over-sentimental for my taste. Not this one. This is about a girl who spends her Christmas exchanging gifts with her kid brother and a biker friend. It's not quite clear what happened to her parents. Her older brother is a Marine deployed to Iraq. So it's just the three of them, celebrating the holiday.
Afterward, she goes to the barn behind the house. This place is way out in the country, so no one else is around. Inside, she has three people tied up; each one has offended her in some way. Each suffers a cruel fate at the hands of this girl, who is truly sick. I won't give away all the nasty little tidbits along the way. Suffice it to say that this movie will never be one of those old holiday favorites that the TV networks run every December.Product Description
There s nothing wrong with hurting things smaller than you, provided you also take on things bigger than you . . . Young Izzy (Leslie Andrews) is a girl with issues. Her parents may be dead. Her older brother is fighting in Iraq and she s raising her younger brother, Kevin, all by herself. Things are tough but, with the help of her motorcycle-riding friend Barney, she deals with her situation the best she can. Unfortunately, Izzy isn t exactly stable... and her way of dealing with life s problems includes finding people to torture and kill in the barn near the family home! When a trio of bullies picks on her brother Kevin at school, all hell breaks loose. The two that die are the lucky ones... This sick and twisted independent film from director Eben McGarr is filled with black humor, excellent performances and shocking scenes of extreme gore. SICK GIRL is low budget cinema at it s best (IMDB.COM) and will have horror fans laughing and screaming with delight!
