I loved ghosts and anything to do with the paranormal.
I remember watching the original "Haunting in Connecticut" and "Haunting in Georgia".
I loved both of them.
So I decided to watch seasons one and two.
I had a blast but had a hard time falling asleep after watching a marathon of ghost stories.
Every story is believable except the one about the country night club.
I had a hard time buying into that one for reason's I won't go into.
The series is fun, scary and informative.
The acting and directing are all done well.
I usually do longer reviews, but why bother?
If you love ghosts and don't mind the documentary story telling then you'll love this series.
I give "A Haunting: Seasons One and Two" my highest recommendations.

well i've only seen the two seperate episodes i've found before ~ but i found out i can get the whole series ~
this stuff creeps me out and ultimately scares me more than any horror movie...
well i can't necessarily judge the whole series from two episodes, but if it's along the same lines it is imperative i acquire the rest of these.
JUST BE SURE IT'S WITH THE RED A AND NOT THE YELLOW A ON THE PACKAGE ~ MAKE SURE IT'S THE FIXED

the correct version with narration is the more recent one not sure i think the other one was around 2003
Many, many chills
Do you like a good scare? Do you also like docudramas? If so, "A Haunting" just may be the DVD set for you. This TV series, collected on 3 DVDs, re-enacts several famous hauntings along with interviews with those who claim they have experienced them. The re-enactments are usually quite good, and the series stretches its low budget very well, using good acting, clever editing, sound effects and appropriate stock music into a chilling mixture. Almost all the people being interviewed seem exceptionally lucid and sincere, which makes the stories seem more plausible and therefore more chilling. In fact, this could practically be called 'Chiller Theater' as each of the roughly 50-minute episodes made me jump at least twice, and I don't scare easily. There's lots of creepiness to be had here, and "A Haunting" has some of the best made-for-TV chills out there. This is well-worth your time when you want a good scare.
On the downside, it's frightening how cheaply these episodes were transferred to DVD. Not only are there no extras, but there are no subtitles, no foreign language tracks, and - this really sets a new low - each episode consists of an entire chapter in the menu! I'm used to older or niche series being given the bargain basement treatment (even great series like MASH and Columbo seemed to have been rushed into DVD release with little care), but I was surprised at how cut-rate the actual DVD production is. As an added frustration, all three DVDs have exactly the same artwork on the slipcases and you won't realize which volume you are looking at unless you closely examine the listing near the bottom of the back cover. You get lots of episodes on each DVD, but that isn't a blessing as it makes even the most minor DVD imperfections or scratches result in a lot of annoyance when you are trying to watch the series.
I recommend this series to anyone who loves scary yet nongory films, and wish that the DVD releaser had taken more care with it.interesting!
i have never really paid attention to this show when it was on tv but when i got the dvd as a gift, i was hooked!!! despite the terrible bad acting in the reenactments it was a pretty good show with a lot of chilling stories!A good series
Having watched these on Discovery, I finally decided I had to own them. I find these to be very intriguing stories, mostly because they are true and not fiction. I don't think you could make most of these up; they have to be real. Any rate, great series. Enjoy.Product Description
